Donato is a keyboard player and sound designer based in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently a member of Freddie & The Cannonballs, a multi-award-winning Swiss blues band. The group won the Swiss Blues Challenge in 2021, represented Switzerland at the European Blues Challenge in Chorzów (2023) and at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis (2022), reaching the semi-finals, and were nominated for the Swiss Blues Awards in 2024 and 2025, winning Best Artist in 2025.

Donato’s musical activity is not limited to the blues and includes projects such as NextOne (rock) and Extempura (experimental). Alongside his band work, he regularly collaborates as a featured artist on studio productions, with recent projects including Hus-Band (classic rock), My Beautiful Disorders (pop), and eXomind (pop-rock). He is open to collaborations and welcomes contact regarding new projects.

He began his musical journey at the age of six, experimenting with keyboards. By the age of eleven, he started performing live. In 2004, Donato joined the rock band The Flag, with whom he played over 200 concerts across Switzerland and northeast Italy and recorded five albums, an experience that shaped his musical path.
